Design Principles
A good designer knows that form must follow function - a better designer also knows how to achieve one without sacrificing the other. We design to optimize the end-user experience. Our design philosophy consists of the following key components:
Make it useful: the user needs to be able to find what they are looking for quickly and easily. Common-sense navigation, an easily understood visual layout, clear and concise text, and fast loading time are all necessary for a useful site.
Make it accessible: Websites lose their utility if a viewer is unable to see it as it is meant to be seen. A website that looks perfect to one user may be completely unreadable to someone using a different browser or operating system. Design must ensure that each user, regardless of what software or hardware they are using to get online, is provided with a positive experience.
Make it unique and attractive: an accessible, standards-compliant website can be beautiful! A site’s aesthetics determine a user’s first impression, and is critical to the quality of their overall experience. We do not believe in templated sites, and our overall design philosphy emphasizes flexibility and uniqueness.
